Let alone a Vivid Canary Yellow Diamond!!
Yet this happened to me this morning.
I woke up at the normal time. Decided to finish watching a movie I had on DVR while still relaxing in bed. When 11am rolled around I started watching The View.
I guess I got ansy because I saw one of my jewelry bags sitting in front of me and decided to pick it up. It is this little jewelry pouch you receive when you buy a necklace, earrings or ring from a jeweler. Well, I pick it up and open it up and pull out the little plastic jewelry bag that is still inside. As I pull it out I see this yellow stone go flying up in the year. My first thought is that its a Citrine or a Topaz.
I grab a flash light and search the carpeting for whatever it was that fell out. After searching for 15 minutes without any luck, I give up.
As I go to stand up I see the stone sitting in the middle of the carpet. I pick it up and immediately realize that its A CANARY YELLOW DIAMOND!!!
What the heck..? Where did this come from..? How long have I had it. What is it worth...?
I now need to take this to a jeweler and find out the value.
Now is the tricky part. Do I cash it in or add another $1000.00 and make it into a pendant or a ring or a whatever. LOL
Decisions, decisions. It has been an interesting morning to say the least. Its not everyday you find a DIAMOND IN THE ROUGH!!
